Canned Tuna Sushi

Canned Tuna Sushi

 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sushi rice (or regular short-grain rice)
  • 1½ cups water
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 can tuna (drained well)
  • 2–3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 4–5 nori sheets (seaweed)
  • 1 cucumber (cut into thin strips)
  • 1 carrot (thin strips)
  • Optional: avocado slices

Instructions:

1. Cook the rice

  • Wash rice until water runs clear
  • Cook with water
  • Let it cool slightly

2. Season the rice

  • Mix rice vinegar + sugar + salt
  • Gently mix into warm rice
  • Let it cool to room temperature

3. Prepare tuna filling

  • Mix drained tuna + mayonnaise
  • You can add a little pepper or chili flakes for taste

4. Assemble sushi

  • Place a nori sheet on a bamboo mat
  • Spread a thin layer of rice
  • Add tuna mix + veggies in the center

5. Roll it

  • Roll tightly using the mat
  • Seal edge with a little water

6. Cut

  • Use a sharp knife (wet it for clean cuts)
  • Cut into bite-size pieces
